The Beehouse offers a wide variety of possibilities for those interested in learning more about Music Production.
Music Production Course
Our Music Production Day Course is a one to one introduction to the subject designed to cram as much as possible into a five hour slot. Participants are all ages and the day never fails to delight. Often given as a gift, the day includes not only the possibility of working with a professional music producer on your own material, but a commercial mix to take away at the end. Based around Cubase, participants can also use real instrumentation and vocals to add depth and variety. There is a constant stream of attendees for this very popular course, which will not only help you understand the next stages in your learning curve, but also inspire you to try new ideas and widen your musical horizons. The Music Production Course can be extended to a two day course for the ambitious, and accommodation can be provided in the Bunkhouse adjoining the studio or at any one of a number of bed and breakfasts or hotels in the vicinity if preferred.
Music Technology courses are planned to be run as an alternative to traditional music courses provided by local schools, possibly at A level or tertiary level. Discussions are currently taking place to ascertain ideal and most desirable courses available for this and the best way of providing them.
There is also the possibility of some informal classes taking place in the near future.
If you are interested in following a music technology class, please get in touch with the studio so that we can be aware of your interest.
The Beehouse specialises in songwriting courses.
We offer a one-to-one Songwriting Course where we work with you to develop a song from an idea into a fully fledged track. This is a very exciting course and is often given as a birthday or Christmas gift. We can either work from scratch, or, if you have already developed some parts of your song, we help you to arrange it and develop what you have prepared to a higher level. All courses culminate in the production of a commercial quality CD, and all are taught to UTTA teaching standards. We work in a very wide variety of genres to ensure you achieve the sound you want.
More general and regular classes are also in the pipeline to take place in the Henry's Machine Room and elsewhere in the Beehouse. Please enquire if you have an interest in songwriting classes so that we can become aware of what the uptake for courses might be.
Jampro Songwriting Weekend
The Jampro Songwriting Weekend offers an opportunity for songwriters, performers and musicians to collaborate over a time to write, arrange, produce, perform and record tracks either within a team or alone.
Singing Courses and Microphone Technique
The Beehouse also offers a variety of courses in singing and microphone technique
Recording Studio Experiences have taken place at the Beehouse since 2003. During these singer days, the artist learns to sing to backing tracks and records their own album. The course includes microphone coaching, and the provision of a commercial quality recording at the end. Often given as a gift voucher, these taster days give an insight into the day of a session singer, and make for an experience which is fun, educational and confidence-building.
The studio is also often able to schedule instrumental and singing classes in piano, keyboards, guitar, violin, drumming, and a variety of styles of singing. Please enquire if you are interested.
