	Experience Description

Mums and Dads, Aunties and Uncles.....

The Bedtime Story Experience is a lovely opportunity for you to record something truly memorable and meaningful for your child or children.

You select a story or stories that your child loves to hear, which lasts up to half an hour to read. In conjunction with the studio producer, we select some sounds or music to complement the story. You then attend the studio and record your chosen story or stories, with professional help for that perfectly edited version. There is a three hour session available at £160, 4 hrs at £200, and 5 hrs at £250.

What happens?

The session, intended for complete beginners in a recording studio, is a lot of fun and highly enjoyable, with lots of support from our friendly studio staff. You are welcome to attend with up to three guests or family members, and others may take part also to vary the voices. Alternatively, an older child may like to record, if they read well, in fact anyone can take part when it comes to speaking their favourite parts of the story!

It's a lot of fun and hopefully something you will never forget.

The quantity and quality of what you record depends on the time you spend working on the piece beforehand, so if you can practise before you arrive, so much the better!

During a storytelling experience, our production engineer will also work with you on microphone technique and varying the vocals for best effect.

You can record speech or singing, stories, nursery rhymes, or whatever you wish.

The story-telling session can be booked for three, four and five hours, like any other experience.


Storytelling Experience Description:

* Possibility of booking a 3,4,or 5 hour studio session.
* A beautiful voucher for the experience day by first class post, with a personal letter describing the gift.
* A compact disc recorded to commercial standards.
* Use of the studio in-house sound effects and library music.
* Use of music recording software, music synthesiser and synthesised music where appropriate.
* Flexibility to record other instruments.
* Editing assistance if needed, for that final product!
* Production help with original music and ideas.
* Music expertise supplied by a professional music producer.
* Up to four may come with you to back you up, and take photographs.

Hidden Extras:

* The recording studio is set in an isolated location in outstanding unique countryside. Spend the night at a local bed and breakfast, or hotel, or camp out.

* Recording studio staff have between them both a high level of musical experience, literacy and training, and various teaching and languages qualifications. Well equipped to make anyone feel at ease and to enhance the quality of your recording.

* Your studio production engineer has a great rate of success even with the shyest individuals. We enjoy the experiences, and so will you!
