The Beehouse is set within the Llanfyllin Workhouse, which is a developing Arts Complex. There are often events at the Workhouse, and some of their calendar is online, so there may be other things going on.

If not, it's a five minute walk to Llanfyllin with a selection of food shops, three pubs, gift shops, a newsagent, a cafe, a bank, a church and a small leisure centre.

Lake Vyrnwy is a ten-minute drive away with a wide variety of outdoor activities possible, particularly in good weather.
